Michael Estwanik

Michael was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from Boston College and has since pursued a life of travel and the theatre. He currently resides in New York City, where he has been active in theatre production and creating exquisite travel programs for corporate clients.

In the 1980’s, he established a theatre group at Lake Tahoe, a venture-of-the-heart he supported by becoming a professional guide. As a guide, his colorful commentary of the Tahoe area led to increased work until, inevitably, he was lured away and became a travel account executive in Dallas, Texas, where he created custom travel programs for such corporations as Xerox, Philips Electronics, and others.

In 1985 he opened a two-person incentive travel office in San Francisco which, by 1989, became one of the top 50 independently-owned growth companies in the United States; his clients included Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems, Amdahl Corp., and a host of other Silicon Valley luminaries. In 1991, Michael moved to New York City with one of the largest incentive travel companies in America. As Senior Sales Executive, he was their Salesperson of the Year in 1996, creating numerous outstanding corporate travel programs that covered the globe.

While New York remains home, Michael has joined forces with friends and former co-workers who founded the Sierra Event Company. SEC is a Destination Management Company creating specialized programs at Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, San Francisco and other Northern California destinations. Michael and SEC – it promises to be a melding of imagination, experience, and dedication that provides clients with travel programs of unparalleled originality.
